Lead foil masking tape is used for chrome, cadmium or nickel plating. Lead foil tape is made of 5 mil thick lead foil material and 2 mil thick rubber adhesive. It can withstand temperature up to 225°F/107°C. It is packaged in a 3" core and is 36 yards long. Lead foil tape applications include electroplating and can be used as an electromagnetic and radio frequency shield.
